Ummm...this is what punditry is. As long as this style of television media has existed, trying to “get in the head” of an administration or contemplate intent of a POTUS is commonplace. Btw, ESPN also tries to shrink the head of LeBron James or Tom Brady. Why is this an issue?
It's not an issue for entertainment. For news, it's misleading, and that's the opposite of news.
I think you are conflating 2 things - the part of the show where they report & the part where they have a panel to do news analysis with “expert” opinion. ESPN does sports news. Then they analyze the news. All cable news does it & has been. It’s crap. But not new for Trump.
The part where they report "news" said the president called white supremacists "fine people," which didn't happen: https://bit.ly/2EpNBhO . I agree they usually get the facts right. But viewers absorb punditry as reality when the guests agree with each other, as they usually do.
