We’ll be back. We can’t know when or how, but the future is surely one of international cooperation and solidarity. We can achieve so much more together than alone and in time this will be self-evident. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

Though this is good in spirit - it has a major flaw: There is little point removing hurdles for scientists to come if there is no rush of scientists to the UK. We need to sort out UK attractiveness to scientists. Much Govt behaviour has undermined that.

This wasn’t on BBC front page news. Or even top item on BBC Wales. *Why not?* All of the UK's devolved law-making bodies have now voted against the Brexit withdrawal legislation. “Brexit: Welsh Assembly joins Holyrood and Stormont in rejecting bill”

It is disgraceful to use child refugees as a bartering chip with the EU. I will not withdraw my amendment.

No. I’m a scientist. The scientific method is about proof or disproof of hypotheses. But only in maths do you have irrefutable proof. In the world of experimentation, we use a significance threshold. Usually at 5%. How is that threshold determined? Scientific consensus. /Thread

“Mark Francois reportedly willing to go up Big Ben with hammer and 'bong' it himself” Meh, give him a hammer. It’d be hilarious.

This is quite the rewriting of history. The EU didn’t lose the May deal. It offered Boris a deal that he and May had previously rejected

Appointing people to the Lords for life after they 'stand down' or lose their seat makes a mockery of democracy. The second chamber is long overdue an overhaul

So let’s get this straight. Zac Goldsmith, was given a seat at 35 for 8 years, lost his seat twice, lost the London mayoral election and is now in the House of Lords at 44. Astounding.

I am going to point out once again that is close friends with the Prime Minister's girlfriend, Carrie Symonds, and that's just the tip of the nepotism iceberg. But everybody in the media in the UK is afraid of crossing this former CCHQ Director of Communications.

In case you missed it... There have been an astonishing 120,000 avoidable deaths as a direct result of Conservative austerity and neglect of our NHS. OVER ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND. They should be unelectable. Please RT if you agree.
