These extremely dangerous wildfire events along with floods are intensified drastically by climate change resulting from those in power refusing to end fossil fuel use! They are criminals guilty of global ecocide! Come together as a people & push back! 🌏🌎🌍

To be serious on the climate crisis requires being anti-war. Emissions from the military industrial complex are not included in most reports, including the IPCC. Despite this we know the US war machine produces more emissions than 140 countries *combined*.

We've seen a sudden spike in the number of paid trolls responding to our tweets. Within seconds of tweeting anything anti-establishment, they spring into action. We couldn't be happier to be perceived as a threat to the status quo. Because we fucking are.

Revolutions are rare because the masses aren’t aware of their power. Global collaboration is made difficult by infused division. But mass mobilization is possible, and we have the numbers to tear them down from their balconies. And we are calling for a global revolution! #ActNow

This disproportionate show of force is a disgusting response to scientists fighting for a livable future. But from LA to Madrid, governments and the cops that serve them continue to arrest protestors instead of making the changes we need to survive. end/

LOS ANGELES CLIMATE PROTEST Are you all seeing LAPD’s response to a few climate scientists chained to a door? There’s about 10 for each protestor. LAPD is going all out in riot gear in preparation for the cop riot. Where are the elected officials in Los Angeles? This is absurd.

By all measures we're losing the climate fight, and we're losing it badly. And if we do lose, it means the end of humanity as we know it. There's no second chance, no do-over. This is it. Nothing could more serious (including that paper you're writing).

Society will very likely collapse by 2100, if we're lucky. Massive crop failures, runaway warming, wars over dwindling resources will make our civilisation collapse like so many before it. If you understand this, you have a responsibility to act.

Imagine trying to explain to your children 20 years from now why you didn't rebel against the system that so clearly threatens their lives. We tell our children we will do anything to protect them, but now we must live up to that truth. In deeds, and not just words.

32,000 edit requests made by governments and industries to water down the content of IPCC reports. But the truth matters. We’re taking action at COP to call out this bullshit. This is an emergency, not a time to indulge the deceit of climate criminals. 🧵

We don't know who needs to hear this, but 'Green capitalism' isn't a thing. We won't solve this crisis by investing in less evil things to extract profit from. We need emergency degrowth and decarbonisation, something wall Street cannot tolerate.

With Western media turning a blind eye on it,a massive heatwave is hitting Pakistan and NorthWest India with temperatures ~45C/113F.These conditions make living and working unbearable. That's not the new normal,it's the start of something that will get worse! #ClimateActionNow 1/

No relief in sight. Day after day in range 45-50C, even 10 days out. That's 113-122F. These are temperatures that kill. Pakistan and NW India are being hit hardest, but it is brutal throughout most of India. Although there is little reporting, the death toll must be staggering.
