Today is 5 September and Sci-Hub is 8 years old. In eight years, the website grew from zero to 76,000,000 research articles available for free reading, and from 2,000 users per day to 400,000.

When someone says Sci-Hub is illegal: Sci-Hub is real open knowledge, that works here and now. Sci-Hub is considered to be not legal = open knowledge is not legal in current law. Why cannot everyone see this simple truth?

that is ironical how publishers are talking about Sci-Hub being 'unethical' just because it uses passwords to download research literature, but they find their SLANDER on Sci-Hub completely ethical

Publishers are madly trying to BADMOUTH Sci-Hub to win their battle. They are trying to present Sci-Hub as espionage tool and etc. Do you think that is ethical? Do the ends justify the means?

regradless of the fact that Assange could be a Russian spy, as media are portaying him, the only crime he is actually prosecuted for was accessing and publishing some information. not killing anyone, etc. information should not be prosecuted in a democracy, or not?

The main rhetoric used against Sci-Hub goes like: yes sharing knowledge is good, but Sci-Hub is bad, because it is illegal. Don't buy it. Any country can easily make Sci-Hub legal by fixing the law, if they really want to support open knowledge
