So how did Occams Razor get a us citizen detained for nothing?

As Avi said himself, he had a problem with his visa. I also think he mentioned that he made a mistake when FBI asked if he had previously been refused entry or something like that. Maybe you should watch the stream again. They advised if he sorted the problems he would be ok.

I don’t agree with much of Avi’s opinions but only a stone cold idiot would say that Comedy Central hasn’t got any dirt under their nails.

Yeah true, I actually misread your question as deported rather than detained, sorry. They or Jim's management no doubt reported him to police that then involved fbi or contacted fbi directly. Probably rightfully so, security wise imo.

Not that I think Avi had any intentions to harm or anything but if you look at it from their security team's pov then it's pretty reasonable.

Not when you consider that Avi only said he wanted to come here to do interviews. He never once threatened any violence and regularly condemn political violence of any kind.

From their perspective, they have someone that's a far right extremist in their eyes. That's why they interviewed him. He's been trained as a soldier. He's made his upset known very publicly(rightfully so). Plans to travel across the world to confront Jim/comedy central.

He's publicly denounced violence repeatedly and is only confronting a person who set him up. It's not normal to treat veterans as possible terrorists because they hold non-mainstream political views. It's not like he's advocating Nazism or something.

Sure, security companies for large corporations and celebrities are notoriously trusting of trained marksmen that form a month long anger campaign and then announce that they plan to stalk their clients from the other side of the world to attempt some sort of confrontation.

I'm not saying that there's not fuckery afoot and weren't also trying to further silence Avi. But they also had plenty of basis for a legit complaint to police that would have led to this result.

Disagreeing isn’t a basis - sorry. I don’t like Avis views but they have no basis. No record. No history - nothing. They’ve let in far worse people than Avi.

We're not talking about other people. Comedy central/jim management would have made a complaint. If everything was in order he would have gotten in. Unless you are claiming some sort of conspiracy whereby Comedy central have power over the fbi and border security.
