This from @JohnCornyn is mostly nonsense. The GOP executive privilege excuse for not voting for witnesses and evidence is crap. Here's an explainer, relying on legal experts and a recent CRS report: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/01/24/latest-gop-excuse-helping-trumps-coverup-is-scam/ …https://twitter.com/JohnCornyn/status/1221455809948852225 …

I suspect Cruz has the same type letter. It is the quickest response I’ve ever received from either of them. It is quite different sounding than his twitter posts. He actually sounds reasonable even thought he will end up being a sycophant.

At least it was on topic. Received two letters from him that had nothing to do with what I asked!
One got close, but other was ridiculous! His aides really messed up! He’s got to go!Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

“to advance articles of impeachment only on a broad bi-partisan basis” In 2016, the
@GOP stopped defending the Constitution at all costs, and starting defending Trump at all costs.#partyabovecountryThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Don’t you love these form letters telling you what the American people want? When you are an actual, viable American person trying to tell him what you actually want? We get em in Florida from Rubio, Gaetz, and Scott too, if it’s any small comfort.
