how are you going to suddenly pass Filibuster Reform, which many Dem Senators have said they oppose, from the executive? you guys keep publicly hammering this as some easy magic solution. i agree but still a difficult legislative step, expending political capital.

If Dems get the majority, then you use the bully pulpit to explain how important it is. That if nothing gets done the Dem president and Congress will be held responsible. Not guaranteed, but much easier than trying to convince GOP to be bipartisan.

And then four years later when the opposing party takes power where they just repeal everything you did with 51 votes and you are back to square one. The filibuster assures that the policies and platforms and economy do not turn into a yo-yo every few years

Mitch McConnell already found away around the filibuster for his tax cuts and obamacare repeals. The filibuster only constrains the honerable.
