    Can we please build an -based uniform system, finally, 11 years after ?

    We must make the system easier for patients. Over 30 hours spent this week trying to get my IVIG treatment reapproved by insurance (been on it for 9 years). Also, they said that it takes 72 hours to get an urgent request in the queue -relies on FAXES. 72 hours is urgent????

    Maybe...it's *time* to change the way we approach health data access and availability in this country... I fully support what ONC is doing

    Tech companies have talked a big game about fixing health data interoperability, but have mostly stayed out of the discussions about the HHS' data-sharing rules. Some say it's a "missed opportunity."

    Yep. I remember telling and Thomas Mason exactly how the right of access cannot be denied. Spring 2015. Mos'Def before on 2015 Edition rule.

    It's worth remembering that the right of access and the right to use the app of patient's choice is not new. Started with CMS rulemaking and OCR guidance back in 2015, and the most contentious meeting ever in 2016.

    Sorry about the paywall, folks. Yup, its partially about fees, but court also said lacked authority in 2013 omnibus to extend right of access to ePHI from an to ePHI not in an EHR. Yup. Important and complex.

    Providers and companies can charge third parties—such as law firms and insurers—fees when they request health data on behalf of a patient, according to the ruling.

    I don't think people fully grasp the constitutional danger of this moment. If the Senate were to refuse to call relevant witnesses with direct testimony of grave presidential wrongdoing then we can no longer understand impeachment to be a genuine check on executive overreach.
