First tweet, new paper: we asked can learning motor tasks in your mind w/o physical movements (via a BMI) ‘transfer’ and improve overt behavior, & if so, by what neural mechanism? Thx co-authors Paul & Stephen

Excited to see ’s work now online. A wonderful and rigorous piece of work that represents (in my opinion) another important step in pushing our understanding on the neural basis of motor adaptation. Very happy to have contributed to this project!

Latest work from our lab by showing sophisticated spinal stretch reflexes are in play during reaching. We're very excited about this work as it further extends the functionality of spinal mechanisms for maintaining efficient control of the hand. Tweprint to come...

New lab paper today from , Cindy Tu, and . We trained monkeys to play a simple continuous joystick-controlled prey-pursuit game. Kind of like when Pacman is hunting ghosts, but with no walls.

1/ Dear friends (and P.I.s), in these volatile times, do spare a thought for students of Iranian origin, especially those studying in the US. The past decade was devastating for most of us who had close ties to Iran, no matter what political background we came from.

Brains are amazing. Our lab demonstrates that single human layer 2/3 neurons can compute the XOR operation. Never seen before in any neuron in any other species. Out now in . Congrats Albert, Tim  & CO

All forms of learning exhibit limitations. Whether we are trying to memorize a list of words, or learning to play a new sport, at some point our performance is fated to peak: despite further practice our repertoire stops expanding. Why?
