    Pattern extends beyond Boston, as noted in 2019 GBHRC MA cities with large Hispanic, Latino, & Black populations, incl. Lawrence, Brockton, & New Bedford all experience high eviction rates compared to rest of MA.

    Not a good week for women in academia. Near total lack of women on highly cited researchers lists and that terrible article suggesting women are liabilities as academic mentors. But you know, ‘lean in’ ladies and take another leadership course.

    Faculty pandemic stress is now chronic. Compassion fatigue for students and colleagues, lack of childcare and at home support, service overload, fear of not meeting research expectations....and more. Be kind. Be patient. Be honest.

    A follow-up survey with longitudinal data plus a new cross-sectional wave is coming in December. With schools hybrid/remote I’m anticipating an even greater share of women will be dropping out of the labor force by year end...
