Great question, and one ask often in therapy. I usually hear something to the effect of “I’m not sure I just know I don’t want to be a girl”. The specifics depend on the individual. Then again, like with most psychic epidemics, sometimes it isn’t really about the details (gender)

Many are ignoring even the WPATH guidelines, and I hope that their malpractice insurance pays dearly for that.
