I don’t doubt journalists feel unsafe. I don’t doubt that, especially in the current climate, they actually *are* in greater danger. But these sorts of reality-bending hyperboles are not helpful.

I'm speechless.

Was that for this tweet or the ISIS thing?
-
There was another thing?

She's said at least 8 outrageous things in the past couple of days.

She also today said that Trump has recruited more extremists than ISIS. She's on a roll.
-
Yes, I noticed that. Totally obnoxious, but she apologized. Seems like she needs to take a breather, distance from news cycle may bring back sanity.
-
I totally agree. I think that a well-rounded life with gardening, cooking, and working with the hands is needed for a lot of these journalists.

@juliaioffe clip of this same chick apologizing for saying 'trump radicalized more people than isis'https://twitter.com/newspolitics/status/1057014319269994498 …

I thought it was big of her to do that.
-
I agree that apologizing is by in a sense. (Also saw after tweeting that you'd already seen this)
-
I do feel like that's being very generous, though. GQs political pieces are on par with teen vogues.
-
it would be hard not to apologize after an all time scorching hot take like the one in question

To her credit, Julia apologized.
-
Not for this, unless I’m mistaken. She apologized for a different comment about ISIS.
-
Nice catch. You may be right. I just looked at her apology Tweet. It’s not a reply to anything and it doesn’t reference what she did. Regardless, it’s brutal that she has to egregious statements that merit apologies.
-
She says so many over the top things, it's hard to know what someone is referring to.pic.twitter.com/wafiKNWVM2
-
This actually might not be over the top.
-
How so, exactly?
-
He’s definitely shirking the nepotism thing. As for the former, it is a bit smoky in here, just a minute. Somebody put together a number of quotes and described some photos without direct reference to them. Then asked if a teacher should report the situation for their student.
-
That's a disgusting accusation.
