It appears I have developed an allium intolerance (onions / garlic). I know now the utter meaninglessness of life.

I developed an intolerance in the past and it went away again so I'm crossing my fingers that the same happens to you. Asafoetida (used with discretion) is a good substitute for that oniony/garlicky feeling in Indian food.

Have you tried the elimination diet? Usually if you remove the allium completely from your diet, he inflammation should go down in 1-2 months, and then you can slowly reintroduce it.

I had the same problem. Did this and was able to gradually reintroduce allium to my diet. I am still careful but life meaningful again

IMHO nothing would trump chocolate or coffee allergy. Might as well pack it in at that point.

Allergic to garlic, eh? 🤔 Did you have an encounter with someone who was unusually ‘bitey’? If your skin starts to feel like it’s burning in the slightest bit of sunlight & you develop an aversion to crosses I know some guys...pic.twitter.com/QnAzeLNJ2y
