    - What I’ve always liked about Bernie is that he has resisted ID politics better than nearly anyone else. - What worries me about Bernie is that he is very old and his DSA base / surrogates / allies are some of the most woke in the game. If he is elected, who will run the show?

On this day when people are supporting for those who are oppressed for wearing , it's ever so important to also support , for all those who are forced into wearing hijab. For all those lives this piece of cloth controls and destroys.

On the bright side, I remember this time in 2016 I was a lot more unhappy about the democratic primary candidates. This time around we have many energetic, independent-thinking leaders. Regardless of the outcome, they will make the party interesting for years to come.

Day 5 of flu. I’m told this should be the tail-end of the worst of it. Fever is much lower, hardly any chills or body aches... But my brain feels... swollen? Can’t think, barely able to read/write. I have never experienced brain fog this bad.

In this great piece, ⁦⁦⁩ perfectly puts into words the remarkable dynamic I’ve witnessed at Yang events but haven’t been able to verbalize. It’s brilliant. via

The privacy paranoid among us have long worried that all of our online photos would be scraped to create a universal face recognition app. My friends, it happened and it’s here:

I honestly don’t know who this speaks to. Nearly everyone I’ve met in real life, regardless of race/identity/orientation, just wants qualified people in positions of power.

This is very good. One year on Covington is still as good a case study as you can find on confirmation bias, and on our powerful tendency to cling on to erroneous first impressions and rationalise them even after countering facts are revealed.

Elizabeth Blackwell is 29. The year is 1736. Her husband is in debtor’s prison and she has a small child to feed at home. What does she do? She turns desperation into inspiration, learning botany and painting an exquisite encyclopedia of medicinal plants

I have never watched a full episode of any Fox News program, ever. Come to think of it, I don’t think I have watched a full episode of any serious pundit news show in at least a decade. How normal is this?

So I’ve fallen sick, and 99.999% sure that it is the flu. But .001% part of me is worried that I have the coronavirus. Which I KNOW is totally irrational to even consider, of course I don’t have it! ... But maybe I do?!??

What is the *most important* element when determining whether someone is or isn’t part of the “elite”? Put another way (although arguably none are) which gets closest to being a requirement to join the class?
