Today I launched PAC to elect progressive women in Georgia. I’ve met w/Georgians in 150+ counties about the importance of electing leaders who will defend the American Dream for ALL Georgians — our candidates will do just that. 1/

There are A LOT of new Twitter accounts (created Nov 2020) that are trolling journalists & elected officials about election results & process. Watch out, folks. These trolls are aggressive & determined to push Trump's disinformation campaign, while hiding identity. Weak losers.

  7. Trump Republicans like Loeffler & Rubio are exactly WHY Matthew 6:24 resonates today: “No one can serve two masters” We’ve watched them kowtow to a deeply immoral President & rubber-stamp his agenda, from kids in cages to undermining our democracy... all while quoting scripture.

  12. Rebuilding our economy to work for everyone means recognizing that, for far too long, our nation has expected working families, caregivers, and moms, to plug the holes in our economic infrastructure like the lack of childcare, paid leave, sick days. We deserve better. 5/5

  13. While these issues are NOT unique to Americans, the lack of policy solutions is endemic to our economy: “Other countries have social safety nets; the U.S. has women” — Jessica Calarco, sociologist at Indiana University 4/

  14. Affordable childcare, like paid paid family leave and paid sick days, are questions of economic infrastructure that ensure our economy retains the resilience needed to weather natural ebbs and flows — as well as unexpected shocks. 3/

  16. 1.6 million fewer moms are in the work force this Fall than there would be if schools hadn’t closed. Working moms & caregivers in this pandemic know: economic recovery depends on defeating . We know because we pick up the slack. 1/THREAD ⁦

Once again, I asked my Republican colleagues to stop endangering all the Senate workers - and simply wear a mask when presiding over the Senate. Once again, they refused.

  20. If true, these allegations beg the question: why did a GOP Senator from SC feel comfortable telling a Republican elected official in Georgia to discard legally cast ballots? It’s a remarkably high beta, low alpha (and anti-democracy...) move.
