This is a very intense attack for a comment meant to compliment Biden and draw contrast between the cynical way Trump employs these themes and Biden’s sincerity. I said “thematically conservative,” meaning themes often emphasized by conservatives that they try to own culturally.

Your tweet is clear. Above all else, conservatism has wrapped its identity––cemented its brand––around flag, faith, family, character for decades. Trump (the so-called conservative brand) is none of that. Joe Biden is all of that. Keep doing a great job, Sarah.
This was all a misunderstanding. I read Sarah’s original tweet exactly as Soledad, but I also read Sarah’s clarification of what she meant. Soledad was a bit harsh - conflating Conservatism w/Patriotism & Christianity in Trump Era is triggering. We should all take a breath.
Great! Love the INTENTION, but that wasn't clear in your message. I think everyone's feathers are getting ruffled here because we're sick of many (not all, & not you specifically) conservatives who say one thing and do the other. hypocrisy is the prevailing conservative theme.
Conservatives love to play victim when they get called out. If you think conservatives are the only ones who have ever talked about faith family and the flag and love for this country then you haven’t been listening to any views beyond your own. I’m with Soledad on this.

There are better ways to credit Biden's speech. And if conservatives need to frame Biden's speech ONLY in their own image to recognize these UNIVERSAL values, that's a problem. Humans across political leanings have had these values. Reframing your language isn't hard.
Perhaps Soledad an apology would be a good start. If we are going to stick to themes of both side of the aisle, apologizing when our actions offend others should be a common theme both sides can embrace regardless of how enraged the offending party feels/felt
The main differences between conservatives and liberals on this topic is that you can trust liberals when they say that they stand for those things. Conservatives REALLY can't stand when virtue signalling is used against them, even though it's practically the entire platform.
