Sarah, you are it!
I was very impressed with Gavin Newsom. Makes me want to move to California.
If California were so great on environmental stuff and environmental law, they’d shell out the cash to fix the Salton Sea. Check into it, if you haven’t. It’s a resource well worth saving.
Easier said than done, damage is immense and decades in the making. But most agree it would be great if it’s glory days could return, but same with nuke testing grounds.
K, so when a bunch of toxic silt starts blowing into the greater Los Angeles area everyone’s going to be like “Well, it was too hard? Who cares about a man made lake in the desert?” I get it, but Californians will regret it.
Not requesting glory days. The area is flood prone and undesirable, but it is the State’s one remaining wetland. It’s not something trivial, but no one will care until the negative environmental and economical impact is felt. America!!!
Many care about the giant oasis in the desert. I rode through there in the 80’s and it seemed like the mythical neutron bomb scene-intact buildings, but no life. But it once was a boating playground for the rich and famous. The best are trying to restore it, not forgotten
It’s just a place that touched me. Ummm, not like Bill Cosby, but really captured my heart. The people, the area, the unusual existence, the wildlife... it’s important to me, and Los Angelinos in general.
I hear you, it’s such a promising sight from far away. One of the world’s strangest engineering disasters
God @GavinNewsom is a such a
It's what the astronauts drink.
It as the ‘ick factor’ but all of the water we drink has something in it. What matters is to what standard it is purified. In any case, California is the first and welcome to the future. It’s going to be required for future Californians.https://www.amazon.com/Big-Thirst-Secret-Turbulent-Future/dp/1439102082 …
Maybe if greedy corporations didn't export water from California they wouldn't be in as bad a fix. There's no reason why as a Clevelander I should be drinking California h2o (my boss buys this, not I)pic.twitter.com/DPsQgZY9z4
That’s what astronauts do!
OMG !! Doodie water ?!?!?! I am in OC now ... Not going to brush my teeth with doodie water ...

Come on down to OCWD in Fountain Valley and taste for yourself. It meets or exceeds all state and federal standards. And it’s delicious. http://www.ocwd.com/contact-us/book-a-tour …
Sarah, Sarah, Sarah - The Earth has the EXACT SAME Amount of water now as it did throughout history. You are Drinking the EXACT SAME Water that flowed through Dinosaur Kidneys. The ONLY Time the Earth would LOSE some water is if Astronauts carried it out beyond our atmosphere.
Thanks for pointing that out. Water is water. We’re just speeding up mother nature.
Sure! There is certainly nothing wrong with filtering water to make it safe for human consumption. As a matter of fact - that is GREAT! I believe Mother Nature use to filter water through the ground and through evaporation. That can be a bit on the slow side.
