Case against says the decision is “unpublished and unannounced and would expose the home secretary to public condemnation if it were widely known“. Let it be known widely and publicly condemned!

When someone at work emails you about a back order but you’ve spent too much time time in fandom so you start sweating and wondering how they know and why they’re bringing it up at work

It’s so weird that when a white cop killed a black man, George Floyd, Tucker backed the cop. And when a black cop killed a white woman, a Trump supporter, Tucker accuses the cop of ‘executing’ her. So weird. Can’t quite put my finger on why he’d treat them so differently.

  10. This is huge assault on our fundamental digital & therefore human rights. The government is using Brexit to tear up GDPR. This is a huge huge step backwards.

Tempting to joke about ‘chaotic fandom’, but this is pretty sinister.

Do you realise what a radical thing libraries are? Publicly-funded spaces where you can access information, countless books, and the internet even if you are homeless? There is a reason why people in power want to convince you they are superfluous and should be defunded.

To my trans followers: please remember there are many, many people who don’t believe your mere existence is ‘divisive’ or that you are a ‘danger to women’ or any equivalent nonsense and that the T is as important and valued as all the letters in LGBTQI+ 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

The Winter of Discontent has been used as a stick to beat the British left with for over 40 years. And, yet, here we are with food shortages as a direct result of Tory policies and journalists, including the BBC, are doing everything they can to avoid blaming the govt for it.

Thread. 1/ Afghan interpreter reality. Meet ‘A’. Awesome guy. Worked with me in Kandahar in 2007. But because he was employed on a ‘third party contract’ UK ruled him ineligible for protection in the UK. Yes, really….

  16. Katie Price might not see your comments mocking and blaming her for being beaten up by her abusive partner, but every woman on your social media who has been abused or violated by men can see your comments and see you for who you really are.

I’ve changed my vocabulary during my lifetime. I became aware of the effect of certain words on certain people. I don’t experience this as censorship. I expect that those who do, are either unaware or actually want to insult minorities.

The idea that these vaccines came out of nowhere is a failure of science communication with tragic results. They're the result of DECADES of basic research in MULTIPLE fields building on the BREADTH and DEPTH of human knowledge. That’s how science works. And it's awe inspiring.
