I remember working for @ARG_AFG during the National Labor Conference in 2018. Many of my colleagues from CSOs, NGOs and ministries were young, bright-eyed and incredibly talented Afghans.

We were elated and emotional. Every project presented a new chapter for Afghanistan. A bridge aimed to connect rural areas, developed roads, vocational training for disabled veterans, micro-financing for women and partnerships with international universities.

I think of the bridges being destroyed, the projects we can no longer implement and my fellow youth who question the future of their education and careers. This pondering does not mean we stop our work. We will keep building, we will keep growing.
