The Taliban letter states that a majority of the Afghan people support them. Wrong. Refer to the June 2020 @hrw report on education, social restrictions, and justice in Taliban-held Afg. It's *literally* called 'You Have No Right to Complain'.
Even if the Taliban called for elections, it would be riddled with coercion, corruption and death. Elections without any sort of inference would show that Afghans inherently believe the Taliban are a terrorist org and want nothing to do with this 'Islamic Emirate'.
