It’s very interesting how behaviors change so drastically across different built spaces in Kabul, particularly forms of interaction/relations with the spaces in general. When entering a govt compound, drivers provide the right-of-way, streets are pristine and no waste in sight.
I’ve always had a theory that if we remove the excessive barbed wire, concrete walls and feeling of “social disorder” - perhaps we can also impress the notion within our subconscious to rebuild and heal our urban spaces in Kabul. Would love to hear some opinions on this?
