Both Covaxin and Covishield (the vaccines currently being administered across the Indian pop.) are administered in two doses, which requires a robust patient registration system to track when 2nd doses should be administered and to whom.
Without detailed data on vaccine recipients, the process will most definitely fall pray to those who aim to skip the vaccine line or hope to make a profit off the pandemic.
Ensuring the vaccine distribution is equitable, given the pandemic’s outsize effect on those who have pre-existing conditions/are elderly/or have dismal access to quality healthcare, should now be @MoPHAFG's main focus.
