That’s why we need a universal single payer healthcare system and no compromises that allow private insurance profiteering.
10 years ago today, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law. Now, in the middle of a public health crisis, the Trump administration is still trying to overturn the law and remove protections for pre-existing conditions. This is outrageous and unacceptable.

I vividly recall this anniversary. 10 years ago I hadn’t had insurance for 15 years, pre-existing conditions. I needed a hysterectomy, so my doc was kind enough to schedule it for after it kicked in - 10 years ago, April 4th.
