The new laws seek to lower drug prices and will:
Give Mainers a say in drug pricing
Stop middlemen from inflating costs at the expense of Mainers
Increase drug pricing transparency

I was proud to help pass a law allowing for the importation of lower cost prescription drugs from Canada, so that Mainers can pay the same lower prices as folks living just miles away. This law will go into effect as soon as Congress shows the same leadership. /3
Too many Mainers struggle to afford the care they need. It was clear we couldn’t wait on federal action any longer. That’s why we rolled up our sleeves and brought Democrats and Republicans together to take on Big Pharma. /4
