We (co-author @Aquanaut1957) developed a model for #coralbleaching on #networks of coral-symbiont associations across spatial scales (global to regional).
This research was only possible because of #OpenData (GeoSymbio) and 2 meta-analyses of thermal tolerances by Swain et al.

We defined a new system-specific measure of network robustness, the network resistance, determined by a network's response to the bleaching model that removes links (associations) based on their weight (temperature threshold for specific host-symbiont pairs).
