I can only imagine that anyone who seriously cites tax rates under Eisenhower genuinely believes that “the internet” consists of cat gifs and family emails and Facebook, and fundamentally changed nothing at all

Many of the world’s most valuable companies don’t really need to physically exist anywhere in particular, which makes demand for tech enabling more effective remote teams/digital vs. physical employment hubs/etc. flexible in response to pressures like massive tax increases

This is far from the only kind of workaround that exists, but it highlights the fact that the regulatory environment is no longer dealing solely with loopholes that could potentially be closed — organizations will get *really* creative in order to retain top talent

Yes, so what? If the worldwide technological output stays the same while funding (through taxes over $10M+) to reduce emissions is secured, isn't that a path towards 'sustainable economic growth'?
