UPDATE: We got a call from the California Wildlife Center in Calabasas saying they picked up B-356, a male bobcat killed by a car earlier today, to keep its carcass safe from harm. Thanks to all for your help and concern!pic.twitter.com/mENxBGGyIm

B-356, a male bobcat, was hit & killed by a car on Las Virgenes, north of Mulholland today. We were on our way to retrieve the carcass, but it appears to have been removed. The den was found at the Santa Susana Field Lab (thx @Boeing!) in the Simi Hills, a small area of habitat wedged between the larger Santa Monica & Santa Susana mountain ranges (a critical habitat linkage in this fragmented landscape). Here's P-69!pic.twitter.com/DwmfjOj6Xr
