    Alden is shredding its local newspapers so it can buy up Greek debt or whatever. After it's done pumping those newspapers dry, that local news coverage is... gone. It's not getting replaced by BuzzFeed Denver. Alternatively, an indy Denver Post could keep cruising for a while.

    Just to clear this up, I’ve gotten some nice emails in the last few days wishing me well in my “retirement.” That’s much appreciated, and I wish that was the case — and maybe some people want to retire me — but I’m an unemployed “legend” looking for a job.
