Trump’s near-instant abandonment of blogging illustrates that the real power of platforms isn’t “free speech” — it’s free reach. It’s never been clearer what stunts like the Florida deplatforming law are really about.

This is so good, ⁦⁩. Just so good. “Hobbling your own children with ignorance to maintain cultural dominance is a hell of a choice.”

Why did we all bust our as*es getting Democrats elected to the presidency and in control of both houses of Congress if they can't do a simple thing like protect voting rights?

Protip: If you're a Democrat and you want to say you passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill, pass the bill on party lines and then just literally say "I passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill" and then if someone calls you on it point out that most Republicans support it

Kyrsten Sinema is like an Adam West-era Batman villain. “I am wearing a bright, quirky costume & gleefully doing a bad thing in front of cameras for no apparent reason! FILM ME AT A DUTCH ANGLE!”

Sinema just keeps outdoing herself with ever-more ahistorical, illogical arguments. The whole point of a failing system is that you need to change the rules instead of expecting individuals to change their behavior.

People saying Joe Manchin doesn't care about Black people because he state is nearly all white are only giving part of the answer. Like, it's Pride Month, and even though everybody in my house are cishet normies (as far as I know) I *care* about LGBTQ rights.

As a Democrat, seeing a party that wishes you dead flourish by flouting all rules and norms, it’s a little tough to take when your party clings to those rules and norms. “We don’t want to be like them,” only can hold the line so long.

It doesn't matter what donors would like to earmark. Donors always want to throw money at big, shiny things. But fundamentals matter. And you need competent staff to pull off those big, shiny things.

This mentality right here is why Dems lose good, talented people to other industries. If you want to win, you build institutional strength and know-how.

The study also complicates the constant refrain that Dems must call out leftists in their party. This suggests a different failing: Dems failed to *rebut* the GOP attacks frontally and didn't make the case that *Republicans* are the real extremists:
