We're APPALLED that @DCPoliceDept detained and injured a 15-year-old child and threatened to separate her and her brother from their mom as they were selling plantain chips on the sidewalk.

This isn't an isolated event. Immigrant street vendors in DC have been facing harassment by MPD and DCRA for months. Some vendors have been assaulted or had their belongings thrown in the trash.
