    As one of the the Americans most directly affected by what refers to here, and as a journalist who has done much reporting on what actually happened, I can say w/ a high level of confidence that the president's account is wholly inaccurate, probably purposely so.

    Time Magazine didn’t do itself any favours by recognizing the sacrifices of a select number of journalists but ignoring the plight of so many more. Afghanistan lost 13 journalists last year (while the TOLO family alone has lost 11 employees over the last 3 years)
