    Just ordered my electric assist cargo bike to cart my kid around town. I have reached true San Francisco dad status. New bike day Feb 22.

    This is why neighborhood meetings about new development are a waste of time. Look who shows up in my young, growing, diverse neighborhood. (Also fun being told by a woman who lives four blocks away that my desire for more housing literally next door to my apartment is wrong)

    All in all it’s doable when the schedules align and only really works if you’re able bodied and don’t have much luggage. Total cost $9.67. Not terrible during rushhour. But wouldn’t make sense for a family for logistical and financial reasons.

    Finished it off with a ride home. They do not make it easy to carry a roll aboard suitcase on those things. The old front carriers were much better for this use case. Cost $2.17.

    Arrived at 22nd street. Terrible station per usual. And $5.45 for at 10 minute ride. Now to find some micromobility or for the final leg home.

    Connection at Millbrae was actually pretty easy except for the whole up and over the tracks thing. Glad it’s just me and I don’t have a ton of bags or my whole family. Bus wasn’t timed to train but was generally fine because it’s rushhour. Otherwise... who knows.

    Also surprised that the connector to Millbrae / is $2.05 with a card. Seems odd to charge for this leg of the trip given it is a connection and not a trip in and of itself.

    First impression. They don’t make it easy to know where to get the “SFO” bus to . You have to know that it’s run by and then follow the signs for that.

    Decided to take the to SFO transit challenge because there’s traffic on 101 and I don’t feel like taking a TNC. Let’s see how long it takes and how much it costs me.

    While I agree with the sentiment, we need to put some benchmarks on this. What are the policies that would have an impact? Upzoning SFH, serious transit investment, congestion pricing, streamlining multifamily construction. Others?
