as for the difference or similarities Startups & Big Corps - "lead by example" somehow applies here too. Lazy corps show the way, new energetic startups go the same path eventually uber airbnb etc. OT: same goes for Tech Lobby <> OSS came <> got LinuxFoundation Lobby

Linux Foundation was a survival requirement though. At the time, Linux was under intense legal pressure from, e.g., Microsoft. They needed a way to organize lawyers and funds to compete in court.
