Channels that need clear proof of authenticity + meet the criteria will be eligible for verification badges (the new design is also harder to "impersonate"!!). If anyone thinks they received an email in error, please appeal, we'll review all appeals before any changes happen.

Yeahhh. Tell that to the accounts like @ThatGirlShaeXo who has theirs for nine years, have almost a half mil subs, and has regular content who you took their verification away from.
