I get a lot of pleasure from keeping no tabs open

Just showing up to mention the OneTab plugin, that closes all your tabs but keeps a list of links to all of them. Often my aversion is just "What if I need this later and can't find it?"

It’s a concession that human memory is weak while denying that human sense of importance is fleeting. “I know I will probably forget about this if I close the tab, but I thought it was important once so I want to not forget it”

Comes from enough computer memory, and not enough human distinction of value after a certain point. I run into the same problem with inventory management in videogames. Does it need to be on me? The big items are easy to tell. Smaller items, not so much.

An older example would be the messy garage that turns into garage+shed. Videogames I have to drop everything and pick everything back up one by one to really clear the problem. Probably works for garages. Probably doesn't work for closing tabs (just turns into bookmarks).
