    A security source just told me that a senior adviser (one of closest) to president Ghani was stopped at the VIP section of Kabul airport as he wanted to leave for Dubai. He also told me that they have orders to not allow security personnel to leave the country.

    Zaranj, Sheberghan, Taloqan, Sar-e Pul, and Aibak are sizeable towns, not cities. Kunduz is a major city, although it's not completely controlled by the Taliban. Fierce fighting still raging there.
