Did a clean restore of iOS 16.0.1 via my Mac for my iPhone 14 Pro Max and battery life is so significantly better. A last ditch effort, but it works if you’re experiencing issues.

: Apple has identified a fix for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max camera shake issue and a software update will be released next week. The issue had been impacting third-party apps like Snap and TikTok that use the camera.

Apple employees have been required to work 3 days each week in-person at the office since September 5, so "work from home" is no longer an excuse for all these iOS 16 and iPhone 14 Pro bugs.

Does Apple not test stuff before it ships? What is the point of months of beta testing if when the update launches everything is seemingly breaking? Software is hard, but Apple should have better quality control than this.

If we don't get an iOS 16 update today, I'm jumping to the iOS 16.1 beta (which is apparently better - go figure) on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Battery life is not what it should be on iOS 16.0.1.

Apple needs to put out an iOS 16 update ASAP. This camera issue + reports that the iPhone 14 Pro becomes unresponsive after data transfer from an older iPhone + reports of excessive battery drain. Not good.

I usually caution against waving the “iOS 16 bricked my battery” flag a few days after release, given housekeeping the system does, but there seems to be something off with battery this time around. How has your battery life experience been on iOS 16?

The iPhone 14 Pro is great, but it’s being slowly overshadowed by an apparent avalanche of iOS 16 bugs: camera noises, activation issues for FaceTime and iMessage, and eSIM problems. Wouldn’t be shocked if we get a rather rapid iOS 16 update this week.

I’d love to tell you that the iPhone 14 Pro is a fairly insignificant upgrade of the camera. Fine to wait a year. Snooze. But, uh... I am blown away by the new 48MP camera. It renders unlike anything I have ever shot on a phone before. It’s absolutely gorgeous. I am in heaven.
