What is a political opinion you've completely changed your mind on over the past decade and why? About an issue not individuals or a party.
As an example I've completely changed my mind on proportional representation I use to think FPTP gave you stronger more stable Governments. But now I think coalitions lead to better Government (on average) because there is ongoing process of negotiation and persuasion.

having married an Irish woman I now have a broader perspective on the whole Northern Ireland issue. I watched an Irish news history program and the coverage it gave to the early 80s was completely different to what I grew up with.
Completely changed my mind on cash handouts for homeless / most in need in society.
How and why?
Scottish independence. Gone from a solid no to solid yes in the last 5 years.
Homeschooling (not sure if it would be considered 'political', though)
Anything educational is political. In which direction have you changed?
Drugs. The so-called ‘war on’ approach isn’t working and never will. Has to be about education and rehab and a totally different prisons policy.
