Check out the RLCheck preprint! Cool idea to try and use reinforcement learning to tune generators to generate more valid (assumption-satisfying) inputs. With

There has been some discussion on ML twitter about the meaning of the word compositionality. It is a word that, like "disentangling", has many meanings. But there is a mathematical framework that captures all of them: category theory.

so, here are a bunch of stuff i find interesting. no particular order. and definitely not comprehenssive. - creative ways to apply massive LMs. Sure we can fine-tune them with extra supervision. What else can we do with them?

Solo papers are going back into style! They are great because they are like ambitious manifestos that describe a unique idea and boldly broadcast that this is my idea and my idea alone! Here are the latest ones from prominent AI researchers.

The birthday paradox is very famous in probability. If you take 23 people, there's about a 50/50 chance that two of them share a birthday. With 50 people, it's a 97% chance. We could make many other fun examples to illustrate the same counterintuitive phenomenon (thread).

When a Fourier Transform is introduced, it is presented as a trick, which ends up being useful in so many places. In this thread, I will show how Discrete Fourier Transform arises conceptually and inevitably using only basic linear algebra. Please like and RT!😊 (1/6)
