Nick Kouvalis strolls into the room, grinning. The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing Genteel Toronto that his year pushing far-right propaganda didn't exist.

I am so tired of feeling like this after every single election. I'm tired of people pretending like a bad outcome isn't so bad because the guy isn't literally Trump or Doug Ford. I'm tired of watching this city get measurably worse, more expensive, and less hospitable.

Ford — an overt neo-nazi backed racist — is running Canada's most populated province. Legault — a bona fide white nationalist bigot — is running Canada's largest province. Tory — an "alt-right"-managed hypocrite — is running Canada's largest city. Tell us again we're no USA, eh.

Anyway. My point here is: acting like Sesame Street is not supposed to depict real life "because kids can't understand that" is missing the point badly. Sesame Street always depicted real life because kids are learning how to understand real life and Sesame Street is educational.

like i've said before, if you wanted to make council all white men… cutting council is a massive blow to diversity and representation in every aspect, not just ideological

When are we going to start asking Toronto City Council why we have the money to pay for police participation in white supremacist rallies and marches month after month, but not to deal with crises like homelessness?

If you’re reading this release your shoulders from your ears, unclench your jaw, and remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth. We physically tend to hold onto stress in least noticeable ways. Relax.

Hell yes I have a trans agenda, and it’s not just being ‘treated like everybody else’. It’s creating a world free from gender stereotypes, oppression, violence, and coercion. It’s one part of a whole: true equity for every human on this planet.

Whenever anybody steps in and tries to insist that the decline of the media is due solely to technology or politics, I’m gonna show them this. A lot of modestly profitable, basically healthy organizations are being destroyed by greed and mind-boggling incompetence.

most people are going to wisely repeat to you the line that "newspapers are dying" like it's everyone on the internet's fault, and not a parasitic executive class vulturing their way through profitable newsrooms, destroying lives to fund their sixth house and second yacht
