As far as we know atm, life cannot be exactly counter-entropic. Creating order always requires the creation of at least as much disorder elsewhere. Luckily, the universe is quite big, so we can always get rid of the disorder without it disrupting our bubble.

Also, we might discover new theories of physics that permit us to simply delete the disorder. In which case, deleting it will be possible given the right knowledge, and people will be exactly counter-entropic.

Though wouldn't such hypothetical new theories need to successfully disprove the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics to do so? If so, I suspect this is a very tall order given how implicated the 2nd Law is in other explanations
