And Mr. Lee spent FOUR HOURS strapped to a gurney waiting to learn if he was to live or die.

Mr. Lee was strapped to the gurney for four hours in the middle of the night while the federal gov’t sought to vacate a stay. The gov’t then executed him without notifying his attorneys even as multiple court filings were still pending.

And now the gov’t apparently plans to proceed with ’s execution immediately. An execution that victims’ family members are vehemently opposed to. We are a deeply troubled nation.

The quotes are from J. Sotomayor, joined by Justices Ginsburg & Kagan. Justice Breyer, joined by Justice Ginsburg, also dissents, reiterating his call for the Court to reconsider the constitutionality of the death penalty.

In the middle of the night, the Supreme Court “sets a dangerous precedent.” It truncates the judicial review process to allow the first federal executions in 17 yrs “before any court can properly consider whether the[] executions are unconstitutionally cruel and unusual.”

Try to imagine what it must be like to be Daniel Lee right now. Waiting every minute to find out if the government will be permitted to end his life before midnight.

US moving forward with federal execution despite suit by victims’ family. Exposes the lie that the death penalty serves victims’ wishes.

No words. DOJ is literally litigating against the victims’ family so they can restart federal executions after 17 yrs this week. The family, including a victim’s 81 yr old mother, wants to attend the execution, but does not want to risk contracting COVID. DOJ does not care.

We are urging to adjust the funding formula for this program so that Black-owned small businesses are not adversely impacted. Black businesses are crucial to wealth building and have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

The world is falling apart; the Supreme Court is terribly unfair; and there hasn’t been a new Real Housewives episode in a month. Now, more than ever, we need this Noah’s Arc reunion! Thank you

Completely disappointing. No one should have to risk their life to vote & yet here we are. I am sorry to Alabamians voting in this month's election. But, we will channel our heartbreak & work to protect the remaining 2020 elections in AL. It's not over yet. We fight on.
