Just judging by comments, no one really gives a shit about the content of this story. For most commentates, the story is just pretext for complaining. And ironically, lots of the SF tech community would probably sympathize with being character assassinated via journalists...

From what I can tell, people mostly seem irate at the feeling of lawlessness they perceive to be normalized in SF, and that’s being attributed to public promotion (by your office apparently) of policies of non prosecution for low level crime...
