What, precisely, is your objection to Harris’, Murray’s, or Sullivan’s discussion on this topic?
-
Will publish an article soon about the topic; I discuss how irresponsible Harris's views are with James Flynn, of the Flynn effect. Harris just plain misunderstands the field and these issues, perhaps intentionally.
-
I guarantee all 3 of those men (especially Harris, a neuroscientist) agree that environmental/societal/cultural factors have led to increases in intelligence in humans since the 1930s, and more generally that intelligence is influenced by both genetics and environmental factors.
-
Also, your “perhaps intentionally” bit at the end in this context implies that Harris has either a subconscious or conscious bias against certain racial groups, a claim that is disgusting and shameful. If I’ve misinterpreted your meaning I apologize, but I don’t think I have.

I learned a lot from your podcast but I’ve had enough. This is not moral panic; Murray is but one academic and you shouldn’t have bid all your intellectual credibility on him. It is a bad look and it should be. You’re making the wrong friends. Unfollowing and unsubscribing.
-
“The wrong friends”? I’ll subscribe and follow in your place. Thanks Sam for having long discussions and exploring ideas. I’ll leave your friendships up to you.
-
We must choose sides in this world. Or else you must erase others and pretend as though they do not exist. I choose the former. Harris has aligned himself with fake intellectuals on the right, so I shall position myself far, far away from that crowd.
-
There’s no reason to do that. Rogan and Rubin interview all kinds of people they disagree with. If you want to argue with a position then your goal should be to understand it at least as well as your opponent. Do as you please, but you’re shortchanging yourself by not hearing it.
-
I’ve *heard* quite enough. You may be naive enough to think your words will move people but you are dead wrong. The first time politics actually affect you, you’ll realize that sometimes it’s your own people you must protect because others don’t have your best interests at heart.

Really doubling down on this huh
-
Yeah, just like we keep doubling down on that pesky "climate change". Can't just ignore science when it points in directions that make you uncomfortable. But we get it, ignoring science proves you're not a racist so it's ok.
-
Conflating climate science with whatever you want to call this is peak loltwitter take. I love it.
-
Daniel is not a racist everyone! He’s not conflating anything, he’s pointing out selectivity of accepting pursuit of science topics. You’re a selective person, because ideology>reality

Sam. Your desperate efforts to justify your wrongdoings make you look even worse. Just stop. Didn't you say you wanna move on to other topics??
-
Did you not say this in your blog post? https://samharris.org/ezra-klein-editor-chief/ …pic.twitter.com/B66lQ8oHWr

Sam Harris cult followers are now attacking me for criticising him. Keep doing it. Don't care about you. I know Sam is notorious in sending his fanboys to harass others, especially when they have many fewer followers.
-
Just one of many example. I'm sure Sam's sheep herd would justify that. Also, Sam was never serious to prevent his followers from attacking his opponents. He never apologized. And his followers do it all the times.pic.twitter.com/CIGX3JMlzi

Sure, Sam is not encouraging his followers to attack Glenn with this ad hom, is he? /Spic.twitter.com/boSiM0jeaW
-
The caller in this video is literally me I wanted to see if he’d actually engage with his fans(former in my case) but like everything with him these days he has a victim complex and refuses to accept any wrongdoing
-
I think I heard that call a while back. It was very interesting! I believe Sam criticised many of confirmation bias. He should now consider criticising himself for it. But I guess it won't happen.
