This is just pathetic. Not everyone that disagrees with you are evil and out to get you. People are siding with Klein not just because he sounded reasonable, but because he is reasonable

It's reasonable to assume anyone discussing genetic influence on IQ must therefore carry the burden of proving they're not racist?
-
They didn't call him racist
-
they danced around it, but the implication was clearly there. ezra obfuscated the conversation to be just about IQ nature/nurture, but the issue was never that environment doesn't matter, but rather that we should downplay genetics because of racism. that's not scientific.
-
So you concede they didn't call him racist
-
There has been a constant drumbeat of insinuations and innuendo from Vox directed at Harris. For Klein not to acknowledge this to any real degree shows him to be disingenuous--and for you to not care about these oblique shots suggests likewise.

The recent article is immensely fair in it’s criticism of you Sam. It didnt try to unfairly represent you. You keep saying everyone is misrepresenting you when they quote large segments of ur POV. If so many reach the same conclusions except you... maybe be a better communicator?
-
I say this as such a big fan of so many of your ideas and thinking, but this really is such a blindspot and the fact you dont concede or want to reevaluate how you go about it and the limitation of your conclusion strikes me as deeply uncompassionate to the historical background.
-
I agree there. I think Sam has been so unfairly kicked by the most dishonest, undesirable factions of the left, it’s left him with a huge grudge and overly sensitive reaction to any left-wing criticism, even when it’s reasonable. It’s a bit of a blind spot affecting his judgement

This whole thing has been interesting, and I feel like there’s been a huge misunderstanding. Ezra is not getting what ticked Sam off. Sam is taking Ezra’s lack of understanding as standing pat on the thing that ticked him off. This reads like two people talking past each other.
-
I think the issue is that someone like Ezra 100% gets what ticked Sam off and refuses to acknowledge it. See Ezra’s promotional tweets about the article.

I guess the self is an illusion
-
Yes, that's what Sam believes

-
The self is definitely an illusion for him haha especially today

He's better off going to his cave for meditation, though I'm sure he won't remedy from this shit (he brought to himself) and will bitch about for months if not years...
-
God it truly is embarrassing that I was a fan at this point. He used to talk about cool stuff like free will,AI, religion, meditation etc but over the last year he’s just gone to straight culture war bs and now that he’s called out on it he is totally unwilling to take criticism
-
It’s getting more embarrassing by the day. Like the Ezra Klein emails were the most reasonable emails on the planet and he acted like a fucking child about it because of 3 god damn words he didn’t like in his article
-
He hurt a lot of his fans, though he might have earned alt-right fans. This would cause him to move further right...
