Looking forward to speaking with Jennifer Doudna this week on the podcast. Any questions about CRISPR/cas9?

Does CRISPR render epigenetics avoidable? Can we essentially prevent our good genes from being 'turned off' by environmental and dietary stimuli?

What @robmctaggart said: where is this technology being pushed the furthest fastest? Will we start to see noticeably different types of humans as a result in the next few decades?

If gene printers become affordable and readily available, what will happen when they fall into the hands of anti-social and nihilistic adolescents? let alone psychotic death cult terrorists, just a thought 🤔

How many years are we away from mastery of CRISPR/cas9 as a tool for genome modification? What will our ability to use it look like when we have exhausted the limitations of the technique? Also, I got a 100% on my 2nd of 3 exams in my Advcd Neuroscience class. The wife was proud

A bit different than the majority of questions but could you talk about the value of basic science? It's insanely important conversation to have, esp. since less and less money is being put into research which is not directly translatable.
