Women need to get off their butts and stop yelling at men to fix things. Why do women need to do this on their own? 1) Because they are more than 50% of the electorate, and 2) Because men (particularly the southern geezers in political office) are generally uninterested.

Why can't women do this on their own? Because it is men who hold most of the power and most women have been indoctrinated or bullied into complying or agreeing that this is the proper situation.
-
Disagree. That position treats women as pathetic victims and incapable of self determination. The truth is, women have all the power they need to change laws and the country, so they deserve criticism for failing to organize and squeeze out these Roy Moore types.

You stand convicted of mansplaining, which as a man I am very familiar with. There is a lot you clearly do not get. And that is part of the problem- that there are many men,and women, who do not get how human culture, behavioral and psychological conditioning, etc, work.
-
Or, I have a different perspective. You are not the arbiter of truth. In fact, no one cares what you think.
-
You are demonstratively wrong there.

Important story. How about including
@rtraister on your show; I've been struggling with your podcast lately because not enough women as guests. -
He has ideas on the podcast; this is all it needs

This issue is as much about power as it is about gender politics. A serial mollester of women who works as a janitor doesn't tend to get away with it for years, with the complcity of the media, who are all of a sudden a bunch righteous crusaders.

When she recalls her husband reacting, “Who does this?” it’s odd that she doesn’t consider she may be a woman who’s unaware that there are-
-
-also abusive women out there. So many of these stories rely on the sexist notion of women’s profound purity. This issue isn’t one-sided.
-
That sounds like a variation on “good people on both sides.”
-
That sounds like the worst take I’ve ever heard.

when are we going to hear about female harassers? Or is this going to only be about one of the genders forever? Men have these stories, too.
-
It's true. There are plenty of male victims out there. Terry Crews shared his story so people would understand who it can happen to. The focus isn't on the victims because of their gender but because of the gender of the typical abuser.
-
Exactly. I think if all some men are seeing is women "complaining",and what about female offenders, youre in a weird bubble and missing the point. This is about protected serial sexual misconduct and rape that needs to be done with in an ever progressing society

I read this article two days ago: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/true-crime/wp/2017/11/17/teacher-arrested-after-she-waited-to-have-sex-with-a-student-in-a-candle-lit-room-officers-say/?utm_term=.2987731934e8 … I think that in the past, there was more of a double standard wrt female abusers. However, it seems society is doing a better job as recognizing them for what they are now.
