Privileged students competing in the Oppression Olympics and inventing the stuff because they have nothing better to do.

Training camp for Virtue Signallers, Oppression Olympians and others who find it easier than actually go volunteer in the third world or even visit the American South.

Is it surprising though? that a group of students who have no real life experience are absolutely certain that they know what is best for the rest of the students?

This makes me so sad. Where are the adults?!? These are children kicking and screaming to get what they want. I'm glad that other students have stood up to RAR, but why hasn't the administration done anything to protect their profs, students and the sanctity of learning?
-
I would guess that the administration is afraid of being attacked and losing their jobs.

Some of this is hard to read. You just have to shake your head. These students are hijacking their own schools and what is the faculty doing?

Reed is considered a cancer even here in Portland. Most of us roll our eyes at the privileged, sanctimonious babies that attend. Sadly, so many of their students struggle after graduation. However, this gives me hope that not all is lost even at a circus like Reed.

Good. Reasonably minded liberals need to get a handle on these excessive, hypersensitive contemporaries that ruin the entire image.

What a bunch of thinkalikes, who, like you Sam, ignore the context of wealthy right-wing funders "part of a larger systematic and extremely well-funded effort to disrupt public universities and create tension among student groups on campus,”https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/20/us/college-conservative-speeches.html …

Amazing how administrations are allowing this to continue! What is the goal of these groups? All this accomplishes is a stigmatization of free speech and a fear to open a healthy dialogue about differing opinions. Definitely a regression in our new "politically correct" society

Why are these kids not suspended or booted. No mention of a Principal or Headmaster? Just insane. Glad kids are pushing back.

Paying tuition to sit in a lecture hall and having an animated privileged teenager co-opt the lecture with force and tell you that you're racist is itself a power-hungry and bigoted move.

How is Reed's administration allowing this to happen? How are the alumni allowing this to happen?

Imo the RAR people are simply racists. Good on the others for standing up to them.
