Just another doctor cashing in on a certain demographics desire for affirmation w pseudo/flawed science & anecdotal evidence.
-
So I guess you're an expert in the field of nutrition but just choose to be obese?
-

Hey Sam, can you have Dr Michael Gregor on?
@nutrition_facts this is what everyone wants, please make it happen! -
"everyone"
-
Yes, I'm being sensationalist by saying that, but many people want it. Thanks?
-
many first responders to a twitter feed Sam doesn't check want it, agreed. don't mistake enthusiasm in posting for majority desire.
-
I have every right to, I don't see why not if there's no opposition. I don't see anyone actively against it.
-
If I don't see it it doesn't exist. Clearly infallible logic right there.

He talked way too much, confusing things instead of clearly explaining them. Difficult listen. That's a red flag for me.
-
Yes. Talks like a guru. Dodged some very clear questions. Obfuscated and blamed others.
-
Haha, thermodynamics is too nuanced to be of any concern, and no medical practitioners consider BOTH caloric intake and endocrine pathology
-
Exactly. He also completey ignores ghrelin, leptin and reward systems. The studies are being done. He's just ignoring them.
-
For a second I thought he would discuss leptin, but he quickly dismissed that as well. His analogies were piss-poor too...Sam didn't buy it
-
Yes. I got the impression that Sam was being polite but didn't buy a lot of Taubes' answers.
