Kraus sounded intelligent until he lamented inability to kill more babies and steal peoples' guns.White liberals...
-
never talked about babies.. just fetuses I think.. and never mentioned stealing guns, just inappropriate ability of many to buy and use them
-
All I'm asking for is a scary weapon for kicks. It's not like I'm killing human fetuses or something.

Man all these people lost in bogs...

That is his preferred choice of word isn't it? That and Krass' 'bubbling boiling brew' make for a very liquid conversation.

Found the QM stuff more interesting.

I agree. It is always a pleasure to hear eloquent speakers describe the double slit experiment.
-
Especially liked the bit about all measurements being interactions. We never actually observe anything directly, only how things interact.

And for anyone having trouble understanding the slit experiment, this might act as a useful primer. ;)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoO0MWYDzq8 …

Sam,I do wish you had Krauss comment on Tegmark's mathematical views, which seem quite contra Krauss' "math is simply a language" philosophy.
-
I side with Tegmark more than I do Krauss. Reality is inherently mathematical. That is why math is the language of physics.
-
I'm inclined to agree with you. Before the Tegmark podcast, I was fully on the Krauss side. But I was sufficiently persuaded MT's arguments.
-
However, I'm essentially functionally retarded when it comes to mathematics, so I'd especially love to hear the Krauss counterargument. :)
